Access levels
An Access Level is a rule that combines together specific doors and floors groups, Time Periods, and Threats Levels to define who can enter where and when. They are used to simplify management by grouping doors and floors and Time Periods schedules. Cardholders are assigned one or more access levels based on their role or needs.
Access Levels are associated with the card descriptor. Up to 5 access levels may be attached to any tenant context for each card.
With respect to Threat Levels, a higher level selection can indicate greater trust and a higher clearance, while lower levels are for less sensitive areas.
To configure the access level the agent will select a controller and associate a door, or door group, a floor or floor group with a Time Period by just clicking on them (note that device list on the left supports multi-selection). After that the agent will click on “Add” button and observe new record appear on the “Assigned” list.
The agent will be able to withdraw assigned privileges by selecting a record on the “Assigned” list and clicking on “Remove” button.
“Is master access level” checkbox is used to assign highest priviledges to the corresponding cardholder.
